I’m Watch has announced version 2.0 of its watch that suspiciously looks like an iPod nano attached to a bracelet. However, the looks are only skin deep as this little device runs Android.
What is the I’m Watch?
I’m Watch is a ‘smartwatch’ that connects to your Android or iOS smartphone via bluetooth. You can answer calls and receive & read text messages through this neat little unit. That’s all great for when you’re out and about, or can’t get to your device easily (in a meeting for example). But that’s not all you can do with the I’m Watch…
As mentioned before, the I’m Watch runs ‘Droid 2′ which is a customised version of Android. So you can install apps on this device. Although it doesn’t support the official Google Play Store, you can download many apps from their own store. Things such like social networks like Facebook, Instagram and email.
Specifications
The I’m Watch features a 1.54″ touch screen (240 × 240 pixels, so 220 ppi), a IMX233 processor clocked at 454MHz, 128 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal memory. The device also support Bluetooth (obviously as it connects to your device via Bluetooth), and a 450 mAh battery which gives standby times of around 24 hours whilst connected to Bluetooth (48 hrs when not connected) and up to 3 hours of talk time. The dimensions are 52.9 x 40.6 x 10 mm and weighs between 90 and 170g depending on the model.
