The HTC Dream was launched late 2008 on T-Mobile (as the G1 in the US) and the UK as the world’s first official Android phone. It originally ran Android 1.5 Cupcake but now developer jcarrz1 from XDA-Developers has ported CyanogenMod 10-(based on the AOSP code of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean) on the oldest Android device hardware possible! It is pretty buggy and laggy (Cellular radios and Rotation not working ) but that’s acceptable due to the nature of the device. If you do have this device and want to experience Google’s latest Android OS on the old Android hardware, visit the post here.
