Anthony Esposito from the No One Here Yet blog has very kindly created a RefuGeeks Android app for us. Version 1.0 was released last night and I’m currently working on getting it added to the play store. It is basically an app interface for the website along with some really cool links to our social media sites, contact page and an awesome about page where you will be able to learn a little bit about the story behind RefuGeeks. Anthony has also worked really hard on getting scaling and pinch to zoom working – this means that our app will work on your device whether it be phone or tablet.
Here are a couple of screenshots from my tablet:
As many people who visit this site will know, I’m very big on Open Source, as is Anthony. So we are making the RefuGeeks Android app Open Source for you to download and edit as you like. This is a great starting point if you want to create an Android app yourself, or to just learn how they are put together. Links to the .apk Android installer and the Source Code can be found at the bottom of this article.
Why not let us know your thoughts on our brand new Android App in the comments section…
