Acer Aspire U5, An All-in-one Stylish And Versatile Computer
Acer certainly have a lot of announcements, after the Iconia A3 announcement it’s now the turn of the Aspire U5, an all-in-one computer with stunning design, and some great features.
Technical Specifications
On the aesthetic side, nothing wrong, it is simply stunning. It tilts from 30° to 80°, and this feature is provided by a stand on the back, and assure a tactile contact control for ten points and a better viewing angle. Fairly well equipped, the Aspire U5 looks versatile in terms of use.
Accompanied by the Windows 8 operating system, the all-in-one is based on an Intel fourth generation Core (22 m Haswell micro architecture introduced in last June), itself supported by a memory with a capacity up to 16GB DDR3.
It sports a beautiful Full HD touch screen of 23-inches powered by a dual-graphics solution consisting of Intel HD and Nvidia GeForce GTX 760M. The system automatically switched between the two GPU’s depending on what you’re doing on the machine.
It also has a sound system using the CONEQ Sound technology that targets the listener for better immersion. Connectivity side, we find the classic interfaces: Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi N, USB 3.0 and HDMI 2.0/USB. Note that it also has the NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, a webcam and a microphone. Note that the microphone benefits from “Purefied Voice technology” that allows a better user targeting and background noise reduction.
No detail has filtered over storage, but we should expect a HDD, or a HDD + SSD combination to improve responsiveness. The Acer Aspire U5 comes with a wireless keyboard/mouse kit. Availability is scheduled for December, for a price around $1,489.
