We start with the One Touch Idol Ultra. With dimensions of 134.4 x 68.5 x 6.5 mm (5.29 x 2.70 x 0.26 in), and only 110g. We see that it is actually thinner than the iPhone 5 (8 mm). Inside this device you won’t find quite as much space at just 4GB but it does have a microSD slot, supporting up to 32 GB. The processor is a dual-core clocked at 1GHz and will be accompanied by 512 MB of RAM. As with the Idol Ultra, the Idol has a nice camera of 8 megapixel behind with autofocus, LED flash and a nice front camera of 2 MP.

Connectivity side, it has HSDPA (7.2 Mbps), Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP and microUSB v2.0. The battery is a Li-Ion 1800 mAh with up to 415 hours standby and talk time up to 7 hours. Over all it’s a great ‘middle of the road’ device.

Alcatel One Touch Scribe HD/Scribe X

This device is the first of the high end smartphones that Alcatel have come up with to rival others like the Galaxy Note. The specifications of this device are rather interesting with a 5 inch IPS display (1280 x 720) , 1GB of RAM and offers improved functionality with an optional capacitive stylus and specialized applications such as a notebook and the video editor. All of this is powered by a 1.2GHz SoC MediaTek MT6589 Quad-Core processor. With the One Touch Scribe HD, Alcatel aims to provide a stylus for those who want an alternative to the Galaxy Note range, butthe Scribe One Touch HD will not be as highly priced at around $400, or about 300€. The devce will be marketed in the United States in the third quarter of 2013, with Europe to follow.

Alcatel One Touche Idol Scribe HD

The Scribe HD has a a nice camera of 8 megapixel behind, a front camera that captures video in 720p, 4GB of built-in storage, a microSD card slot and 2500mAh battery. In terms of connectivity, it will support quad-band GSM and HSPA +. We will finish with the final device announced, the Alcatel One Touch Scribe X, which incorporates a full HD 1080p display, a similar processor to the Scribe HD and a 12 megapixel camera.
