Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on the HTC Dream

The HTC Dream was launched late 2008 on T-Mobile (as the G1 in the US) and the UK as the world’s first official Android phone. It originally ran Android 1.5 Cupcake but now developer jcarrz1 from XDA-Developers has ported CyanogenMod 10-(based on the AOSP code of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean) on the oldest Android device hardware possible! It is pretty buggy and laggy (Cellular radios and Rotation not working ) but that’s acceptable due to the nature of the device. If you want to see it in action, here’s a video showing its performance:
If you do have this device and want to experience Google’s latest Android OS on the old Android hardware, visit the post here.
