DreamBook Power W35 – Heavy Specs For The Joy Of Gamers

The market of PCs is in full collapse, but apparently this is not the data that will scare manufacturers. In fact Pioneer Computers (the Australian one) has just announced the DreamBook Power W35, designed for toughest players, and displays a technical data sheet that’s very impressive.
Technical specifications
The DreamBook Power W35 features an Intel Core i7 processor. A 4th Generation (Haswell) Intel® CoreTM CPU, the same series as Core-i7-4930MX clocked at 3 to 3.9 GHz. The machine will be powered three RAM slots that will boast a maximum memory of 24GB.
We do not find one, but two graphics cards! A 4th Generation Intel® Integrated VGA and NVIDIA® GTX-765M which can deliver 2GB of pure GDDR5 Graphics. The GPU circuit includes the Optimus technology, from NVIDIA, which will switch between the two GPUs.
Storage may involve two changeable 2.5″ 9.5mm HDD/SSD in SATA interface (RAID 0/1). And as option, we can have one changeable 12.7mm Super Multi/Blu-ray Combo/Blu-ray Writer ODD also in SATA interface. The screen is 15.6 inches (39.62cm), provides FullHD and Crystal Bright Screen technology and display a resolution of 1920 x 1080 in 16:9. No information about the DPI (density per pixel).
Communication side, there is built-in 10/100/1000Mb Base-TX Ethernet LAN, wireless LAN 802.11B/G/N with Bluetooth 4.0, and a 9-in-1 (MC/RSMMC/SD/mini-SD/SDHC/SDXC/MS/MS-Pro/MS-Duo) card reader. There is also a 2.0M HD webcam, an audio solution with two 2W speakers enhanced by the Sound Blaster Cinema technology, and a built-in microphone. No less than 12 I/O-ports are listed…:

Then, a multi-languages ​​full size isolated keyboard with numeric pad. Two Mini Card slot:
- 1st for WLAN Combo Half size Mini Card with PCIe and USB interface
- 2nd for mSATA SSD Full size Mini Card with SATA interface
The battery is a removable Lithium-Ion of 8 cells with a capacity of 76.96 Wh. The announced battery life is about 325 minutes (5 hrs and more). And a full Range AC adapter, AC in 100 ~ 240V, 50 ~ 60Hz, DC output 19.5V, 6.15A, 120W, is provided. Regarding dimensions, rather correct for this type of machines… So, 374 (W) x 250 (D) X 16.3 ~ 42.7 (H) mm and the whole weights 2.7Kg with the battery.
Other stuff
Undoubtedly, the DreamBook Power W35 will run Windows 8.1. However, Windows 7 and Windows XP are also available by personal request. Many options are available. A short list:

The availability date has not yet been published, but you can order through the manufacturer’s website. The starting price (without any options) are in the range of Australian $ 1899, or about € 1,300 for the basic model. These can quickly climb, depending on added options.
