Duck Hunt Comes To Android

[hr]

Anyone over the age of 25 or who remembers the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) will probably remember Duck Hunt. The NES was my very first games console and Duck Hunt was one of the games that came bundled with the NES.

During the game you have a friendly pooch that jumps into the long grass to scare out some ducks for you to shoot. You get three shots per duck and if you miss, they fly away. To shoot, all you need to do is tap the screen and if you miss too many Ducks, you lose – simple.

It’s a simple game that used to keep me entertained for what seemed like hours (although in reality it was probably minutes). The game itself is less than 500KB is size – hard to believe that a game for what was the Xbox 360 of the day is less than 500KB – crazy how far we have come.

The Android version of the game sticks very close (if not exact) to the original game. The only downside is that the clay shooting is not available for some reason (or it wasn’t available on my tablet anyway). This is a great classic game that should keep you busy during those times when you’re bored. Duck Hunt can be installed for free from the Google Play Store under the pseudonim ‘Duck Hunting’. Or you can use the QR code below.
