LG Introduces The Thinnest Smartphone LCD-HD Screen
The way of thinner smartphones has just been opened by LG. Indeed, the Korean brand has unveiled a full-HD 5.2 inches model, for mobile devices. It measures only 2.2 mm thick.
LG say that its new jewel is “the world finest HD LCD display for smartphones” and “the screen of the future”. Specifications wise, the display uses flexible printed circuits which are inserted between the panel and the contact foil, which reduces the number of lines on the panel by more than 30%. We also note that each display’s pixel consists of RGB sub-pixels, which offers 535 nits of brightness. Compared to the competition, such specifications are superior to all Full HD now available on mobile device screens.
The South Korean firm, which announced recently begun to produce flexible and unbreakable smartphone screens should also soon launch the production of this fine model, and integrate it into future devices.
