Myst – The Facebook Phone By HTC

After the ChaCha, Status, and Salsa by HTC (2011), the rumours are becoming heavier and justified on a likely Facebook Smartphone. Numerous sources across the internet seem to confirm the Taiwanese company have involvement in a new Facbook device. The leaked information confirms technical specifications, a possible release date, and the partnership with the American phone operator, AT&T.

Specifications

Currently known under the code name HTC Opera, the device will be equipped with the Snapdragon S4 Pro MSM8960 from Qualcomm, clocked at 1.5 GHz and run with 1 GB of RAM. The screen is about 4.3 inches, and has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, the device will also sport Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi and HSDPA.

The internal memory is about 16 GB, but no microSD slot. Two cameras, one at the rear of 5 mega-pixels, and one at the front, 1.6 of mega-pixels. Of course, Android has been chosen as the mobile OS. More precisely, it is Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. However, two overlays, Facebook and HTC will be installed. Facebook applications will be pre-loaded, like the Facebook app, Facebook Messenger and Instagram. It is also thought that the device will be 4G compatible.
