No information has filtered through about the release of the Nexus 5, but Google has just announced the price decline of the Nexus 4 to hit $199 for the 8 GB variant and $249 for the 16GB model. For comparison, the Galaxy S4, HTC One or the iPhone 5 are sold between $650 and $925.
