Chinese telecommunication equipment manufacturer ZTE has unveiled their high-end smartphone, Nubia Z5. I can’t help but think that this device has a striking resemblance to the iPhone and the Samsung Galaxy S3. Let’s hope that Apple don’t hit ZTE for $1 billion!

Specifications

ZTE’s Nubia Z5 smartphone sports a Snapdragon S4 Pro from Qualcomm APQ 8064 (quad-core 1.5GHz) processor. The device has a primary camera of 13.0 MP with a CMOS BSI Sensor along with LED Flash support and a front-facing, 2.0 MP camera. A 5 inch screen with full HD support at 1920x1080p resolution.

For the storage, ZTE provides 2GB RAM and sports 32GB of internal storage. The Nubia Z5 is compatible 3G and 4G LTE. The capacity of the battery, 2300mAh. The device embeds Wi-Fi b / g / n / a, Bluetooth 4.0, and an NFC chip. The specs are good on the surface but the lack of a MicroSD slot and GPS really lets it down as these are commonplace even in low end devices nowadays.

The Nubia Z5 will be available in two primary colours, White and Black and it’s dimensions are 138.0×68.8×7.6mm. Naturally, the Nubia z5 will also be equipped with Android 4.1.1, Jelly bean.

The Nubia Z5 was launched in China on Boxing Day at a cost of approximately $550 (3,465 Yuan), but at the moment there is no news on a European or American release as of yet.
